Common questions

Accounts, progress, and content

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, open Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes the account and associated learning data. You can also request deletion by emailing support from the address connected to the account. Learn more in the privacy notice.

Why is a bird recording not playing?

Check that media volume is audible, Silent Mode is not suppressing expected feedback, and the device has a network connection when a recording has not yet been cached. Include the bird name, quiz mode, and whether other recordings play when contacting support.

How do I report a bird name, photo, or recording problem?

Email the common or scientific name, the region or lesson where it appears, and a screenshot when possible. For a recording, include the XC catalog number shown in its credit. Learn how recordings are sourced.

Will progress follow me to a new iPhone?

Signed-in learning progress is stored with the account so it can follow you across supported devices. Sign in using the same method and account. Local-only or unsynchronized activity may not transfer.

How are subscriptions managed?

Purchases are processed by Apple and subscription status is managed through the App Store. Once the app is released, use iOS Settings or the App Store subscription screen to view, change, or cancel a subscription.

How do I report community content?

Use the report control on the post when available. For urgent cases, email support with the post details and reason for the report. Do not redistribute private or harmful material in the message.
